Yesterday I attended a Letterpress Printing Extravaganza. I printed my very own letterpress poster! It's been a dream of mine to get my hands on a press. That dream has come true. I used a mid 20th century sign press located in the very cool traveling Letterpress studio truck of Kyle Durrie. As a senior at Belhaven University, I am required to put together not only my most updated portfolio pieces, but a display to showcase my work for a end of semester review. I had a lot of fun coming up with an idea that went along with the Sparrow Ink Design brand and was an interesting way to show my work. Here is what my display looked like:
I've been working like crazy trying to finish up this semester and one of my main projects is a major portfolio update. So to go along with that, the website portfolio has now been updated, and received a new navigation and slideshow! Also, tomorrow is a big portfolio review day at Belhaven University and I have a special display in the works so be watching out for a post about that soon showing the results! I really hope it turns out as good as it looks in my head!
